Materials:

  • Eco-Soy Wax
  • Wick
  • Wick Holder
  • Pot
  • Aluminium jug
  • Spatula
  • Calculator
  • Stove top
  • Fragrance oil (optional)
  • Small jug for fragrance oil (optional)
  • Moulds
  • Wicking needle
  • Wicks (Depends on which candle you are making)
  • Wick centring tool
  • Heat proof mat

Setup Double Boiler:

Equipment:

    • 1 large pot
    • Stove top

Steps

    • Fill pot with water (1/3 to 1/2 of pot)
    • Apply medium heat

Setup ingredients for Candle (Bubble Cube Candle):

The following instructions are provided as an example. Adjust quantities and measurements based on your specific candle and the requirements of your candle.

Prepare 180g of wax for the bubble cube, including 15g extra wax to address potential sinkholes, imperfections, and top-ups. To achieve an 8% fragrance load, calculate 14.4g of fragrance oil for the 180g wax. Adjust the actual wax weight to 165g to account for the fragrance oil. Begin by placing the main wax container on the scale, zero it, and add 165g of wax. Simultaneously, place a smaller container on the scale, zero it, and weigh 14.4g of fragrance oil. Keep the measured wax and fragrance oil aside until they are ready to be used in the crafting process.

Steps to Pour Wax:

  • Completely melt the wax at 75C
  • Take wax off stove top
  • Add fragrance oil
  • Stir for 2 minutes to evenly distribute the fragrance oil
  • Pour at 65C
  • Centre the wick with the centring tool

Demoulding:

  • Cure at least 6-8h before demoulding

Final Tips:

  • When pouring wax, avoid filling the jug to its brim to prevent excessive weight during the pouring process.
  • Ensure the aluminum jug stays adequately filled to prevent burning in case of complete water evaporation. Keep the water level topped up.
  • After removing the jug from the water pot, thoroughly dry it to prevent any water from dripping into the wax when pouring it into the mold.
